Trelegy Ellipta is a medication typically used to treat COPD. It is a brand name medication and is available as an inhaler with a dry powder for inhalation.
Trelegy Ellipta is a prescription medication that contains the active ingredients Fluticasone, Umeclidinium and Vilanterol.
Trelegy Ellipta is inhaled once daily for the maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) – including bronchitis and/or emphysema – and to reduce COPD exacerbations in patients with a history of exacerbations.
Trelegy Ellipta works to reduce inflammation and to cause the throat muscles to relax.
The major side effects of Trelegy Ellipta include headache, diarrhea or constipation, back and joint pain, flu like symptoms and respiratory problems.

Trelegy Ellipta can cause a mouth infection called thrush. To avoid getting thrush, rinse your mouth out with water after each use. Do not swallow the water.
Try to take Trelegy Ellipta at the same time of day every day and do not miss doses.
Call your doctor right away if your breathing problems get worse or if you have any signs of pneumonia.
Trelegy Ellipta can increase the risk of infection. Wash your hands often and avoid sick people as much as possible.
Long term use can increase the risk of cataracts or glaucoma. Talk to your doctor and have eye exams as instructed.
