Lovastatin helps lower cholesterol, but you won’t be able to feel its beneficial effects. It is important to take Lovastatin as your doctor has prescribed, even if you don’t feel it working.
Lovastatin can lead to a serious muscle problem. Let your doctor know if you experience any muscle pain, tenderness or unusual weakness. This muscle issue can lead to kidney problems if left untreated.
Liver problems can also happen while taking Lovastatin. Let your doctor know if you experience stomach pain, dark urine, loss of appetite, upset stomach, vomiting or yellow skin or eyes.
