Lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazide works to lower your blood pressure, lower your risk of stroke and reduce your risk of heart attack. You won’t be able to immediately feel these benefits of the drug, but you should not stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor.
The lisinopril component of this medication can cause a dry cough that happens within a few months of treatment. Talk to your doctor if this becomes intolerable. The dry cough goes away once treatment is stopped.
Low blood pressure can cause dizziness. If you have severe dizziness or you pass out, talk to your doctor.
Talk to your doctor if you cannot pass urine, you have dark urine, you are extremely tired, you have a loss of appetite or if you have yellow tinted skin or eyes, as it may be indicative of kidney or liver problems.
