Compazine should not be used in older adults to treat mental problems related to dementia.
Muscle problems can happen while taking Compazine. It can become less severe after stopping Compazine but may not go away completely. This risk is greater with higher doses, longer use, in women and in people with diabetes.
Let your doctor know if you experience muscle pain or if you cannot control your body movements.
If you use the suppository, wash your hands before and after use. If the suppository has become soft, put it in the refrigerator or run cold water over it before application.
